Through the elaboration of the girl's contradiction reflected in Balthus's picture, this paper arouses viewers' deeper thinking about the image of adolescent girls, and further strengthens the intrinsic value of her works. Fully analyze the causal conflict caused by the contradiction of the picture, form a complete causal logical relationship and goal, and combine with personal creation to quote and shape. The discussion on the contradiction reflected by the image of the girl in Balthus's works and its painting language is divided into five chapters:The first chapter defines the causes of contradiction in Balthus's paintings, and discusses in detail the contradictory characteristics of innocence and maturity, melancholy and joy interweaving, closure and freedom reflecting each other. The second chapter further analyzes how Balthus presents the contradictory collision and conflict of the picture through his unique painting language, which causes the viewer's emotional fluctuations. The third chapter expresses contradiction through the unique image characteristic of Balthus's picture. In his paintings, the girl's self-consciousness occupies an important position in the picture, which is his exploration of the true state of the girl's inner heart. The fourth chapter uses the light and shadow effect presented in Balthus's picture to render the contradictory atmosphere of the picture, so that the drama of space arises spontaneously and enhances the narrative and emotional tension of the painting.To sum up, Balthus's images of girls play an important role in many of his works, which usually reflect the vitality of youth and angelic innocence. However, these depictions are not always single, but are characterized by the unique combination of opposites, which makes his works contain complexity and polysemous. This paper focuses on the inspiration and application of the girl's contradiction reflected in Balthus's picture in her self-creation. Balthus depicts a world that is both visible and invisible. His paintings are full of tranquility and tension, perfectly combining inner unease with outer peace. This complex emotion hidden in uncertainty is his understanding of reality and dreams, as well as the vague state of the girl's body and mind during puberty. The experience of its unique expression techniques can give the works more rich connotation and charm. In combination with the understanding and application of the conception composition, color and charm of the picture shown in my creation, the expression method of the future personal creation will be filled with contradictions and reflect the expression of artistic conception with rich connotation and heart flavor.
