1936年11月，在民族危机日益深重的背景下，上海的漫画作者群体以《时代漫画》杂志为平台，召集全国的漫画作者举办了“第一届全国漫画展览会”。籍此，这个诞生于近现代出版文化土壤中的新兴群体，以“全国漫画家”的身份进入民族抗战的文化战线。本文从漫画作者群体的生长、“漫画家”身份与道路的争论以及“全漫展”的效果与影响三个方面，回顾了发生在1927-1937年间中国漫画家群体身份意识的衍变，重点考察展览核心组织群体“时代派”漫画家在20世纪30年代复杂的社会与艺术语境下，在组织形态、传播策略、创作方向上作出的新选择。
