以雕塑为代表的立体造型艺术，其负空间是多层次的。首先，是作品自身结构内部的负空间，它们之间的关系犹如“阴阳”一般是相生相克的；其次，在一些立体造型艺术作品中，它们的形式与内涵使得所处空间转化为了作品的组成部分，容纳作品之所不再简单只是一个外部的载体与背景。在本论文中，笔者也将以不同层次的负空间为切入点，去审视自现代主义时期至今的一些雕塑与装置艺术作品案例。在这里，以“负空间”为视角去审视它们即是为了廓清它们的整体框架，从空间中找到属于作品结构内的有机部分。以此，作品与空间的关系便不能等同于作品与“负空间”的关系，两者是有区别的。前者是两个独立单元之间的关系，而后者则是作品整体框架内部中的“正负关系”。

The negative space of three-dimensional plastic arts represented by sculpture is multi-level. Firstly, it is the negative space inside the structure of the work itself, and the relationship between them is like "Yin and Yang"; Secondly, in some three-dimensional plastic art works, their form and connotation make the space transformed into an integral part of the works. The place to accommodate the works is no longer simple, but an external carrier and background. In this paper, the author will also take different levels of negative space as the starting point to examine some cases of sculpture and installation art works since the modernist period. Here, to examine them from the perspective of "negative space" is to clarify their overall framework and find the organic part belonging to the structure of the work from the space. Therefore, the relationship between works and space can not be equal to the relationship between works and "negative space". There is a difference between the two. The former is the relationship between two independent units, while the latter is the "positive and negative relationship" within the overall framework of the work.
