绘画创作中常常会出现偶然性，比如不小心画错的痕迹、无意识流淌的出的油印、潜意识下的不由自主、甚至有时灵感的突然闪现等等……这些偶然的出现可能会带来新的画面效果、新的视觉趣味、甚至是某种艺术形式上的突破，这些幸运的偶然使作画的过程也变的神奇起来。当我们在创作的过程中遭遇偶然性时，需要头脑清晰地判断是否有必要保留延展，同时也要及时地对可用的偶然性进行总结与记录。当对可用的偶然性逐渐反复摸索延伸，慢慢的就会变成我们可以控制的必然性，这也是技法上的逐步成熟，甚至会影响到个人艺术风格的形成。如果不及时地对绘画中出现的可用的偶然性进行深入的总结，反复的尝试，那么这种好的可能便会很难再次出现在画面上，最后变成遗憾。
